Wedding Bells

A sonnet for the bride

To tread upon unchartered waters as time stands still in awe
Feel the love, paint that picture beautiful in tints together true
The miles rough and smooth, through the years, yours to draw
Making magic out of moments thrust in just the right hue

And the stars spelled out what the heavens fancied
As you sing the song of your hearts to the tandem beat
In twinkling flashes plotting the destinies prophesied
Follow your dreams, hand in hand, swirling sweet

Fairy wishes upon the stars, cryptic whispers to the breeze
Dances on the waves, fading scripts on petals so soft ‘n tender
Gone are the days of gaiety when we forgot the rains with ease
‘n the sun, the moon in their jealous sky, thru the night’s splendour,

But stand by your side we always will, bestowing wishes fervently true
When down that aisle you walk this day, beaming your lovely self through
